Ukraine has repaired 14.7 million square metres of road surfaces since the beginning of the year, as nationwide restoration and maintenance efforts continue across state highways, according to the State Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development.

The agency reported that roadworks are currently ongoing across the country, with priority repairs addressing damage accumulated after the autumn–winter period already completed in many regions.

“On state roads across Ukraine, maintenance and road surface restoration works are ongoing. Since the beginning of the year, road workers have restored more than 14.7 million m² of pavement,” the agency said in a Facebook statement.

Regional data shows the largest volumes of repairs were carried out in Mykolaiv (1.61 million m²), Kirovohrad (1.54 million m²), Kyiv (1.52 million m²), Kharkiv (1.2 million m²), and Dnipropetrovsk (983,000 m²) regions.

Over the past 24 hours alone, approximately 93,000 m² of damaged road surface was restored on international and national highways across several regions.

Authorities say future efforts will focus on maintaining the state road network and restoring critical routes in frontline regions, with particular attention to roads essential for the Armed Forces, civilian evacuation, and the functioning of local communities.
