Croatia will allocate 5 million euros for humanitarian demining needs in Ukraine. The government of Spain has also pledged 1.5 million euros for the same purpose. This information was revealed during the International Donor Conference on humanitarian demining in Ukraine, which is taking place in Croatia.
Representatives from more than 40 foreign countries, including defense ministers, foreign affairs ministers, ambassadors, and leaders of foreign organizations, gathered for the event. The Ukrainian delegation is led by Ukraine's First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Yulia Svyrydenko.
"Andrei Plenkovic, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, stated that the government of Croatia will approve assistance to Ukraine for humanitarian demining in the amount of 5 million euros starting tomorrow. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Spain for European Union Affairs and Cooperation also announced that Spain will allocate 1.5 million euros to support humanitarian demining in Ukraine. We thank our partners for providing this assistance, as humanitarian demining is one of the conditions for the recovery and further economic growth of our country," said Yulia Svyrydenko.
It's worth noting that Ukraine and Croatia had previously signed an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the field of demining.
