The Naftogaz Group has agreed with the Polish company ORLEN and American partners on new deliveries of American LNG to Ukraine. The deal involves at least 300 million cubic meters.
This was reported by Serhiy Koretsky, Chairman of the Board of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine.
According to him, the signing of this agreement solves two important tasks at once.
First, it ensures additional volumes of imported gas, which are extremely needed during the heating season due to Russian attacks.
“Second, our partners, together with the Polish export credit agency KUKE, provide us with a credit facility for post-payment of the delivered volumes, which helps cover the liquidity deficit at the moment,” Koretsky said.
He added that the main terms have been agreed upon and deliveries are already being planned. The contract with the credit facility (post-payment) and insurance instruments will be signed soon.
