Ukraine exported 3.04 million tonnes of agricultural products in September 2026, up 41.5% compared with August.
The increase in exports was primarily driven by grains, oilseeds and their processed products, according to the Ukrainian Agribusiness Club association.
“The main groups of agricultural products — grains, oilseeds, vegetable oils and oilseed meal — accounted for around 2.65 million tonnes of exports in September, or 87.2% of the total, compared with 83.1% in August,” analysts said.
Grains traditionally accounted for the largest share, reaching 1.49 million tonnes, up 50.4% from the previous month. The main driver was an increase in wheat exports from 612,700 tonnes in August to 1.09 million tonnes in September, a rise of 78.6%. Corn exports remained virtually unchanged at 306,800 tonnes, while barley exports increased by 16.9% to 80,300 tonnes.
Oilseed exports increased to 494,500 tonnes. Rapeseed accounted for the largest share at 428,700 tonnes, up 46.5% compared with August. Soybean exports increased by 24.3% to 36,200 tonnes.
Vegetable oil exports reached 323,500 tonnes in September, up 15.8% from August. Sunflower oil exports remained almost unchanged at 146,600 tonnes, while rapeseed oil exports increased by 61.9% to 154,500 tonnes.
A significant increase was also recorded in oilseed meal exports, which rose by 83.4% to 343,400 tonnes. Sunflower meal exports increased 2.6-fold to 285,400 tonnes, while soybean meal exports fell by 24.9% to 58,000 tonnes.
