On the night of September 9 (starting from 7:00 p.m. on September 8), the Russian forces launched an attack using 84 strike UAVs, including Shahed, Gerbera, and other drone types, from the directions of Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, with more than 50 of them being Shaheds.
The aerial assault was repelled by aviation, air defense missile forces, electronic warfare units, drone systems, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data as of 8:30 a.m., Ukraine’s air defense shot down or suppressed 60 UAVs, including Shahed, Gerbera, and other drone types, over the northern, southern, and eastern regions of the country.
Strikes from 23 drones were recorded at 10 locations.
