Eleven more projects have been selected for implementation under financial agreements with the European Investment Bank (EIB), according to the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development.
The joint EIB projects were chosen within the framework of the Emergency Credit Program for Ukraine’s Recovery, the Ukraine Recovery Program, and the Ukraine Recovery Program III.
Seven of the 11 projects proposed by local communities are in Dnipropetrovsk region:
- Pershotravenska community – renovation of premises for a rehabilitation department;
- Mykolaivska community – construction of a dual-purpose facility that can serve as a shelter;
- Mahdalynivska community – construction of a water tower and water supply network;
- Verkhniodniprovsk community – renovation of the water supply network;
- Novomoskovska community – construction of a modular shelter;
- Zhovtovodska community – major renovation of a radiation protection shelter and civil defense structures.
The commission also selected four projects in Mykolaiv region:
- Bratska community – construction of a civil defense facility;
- Vesnyanska community – major renovation of a civil defense facility;
- Bereznehuvatska community – major renovation of a lyceum;
- Shyrokivska community – reconstruction of the water supply system, including the installation of an artesian well.
“Funding from the European Investment Bank is an important tool for implementing strategic projects aimed at increasing Ukraine’s resilience during the war. Program funds can be directed to restoring social infrastructure and housing and utilities in affected regions, as well as in communities hosting the largest numbers of internally displaced persons,” commented Deputy Minister Oleksiy Riabykin.
