Ukrainian defense-tech startup M-Fly, part of the Brave1 cluster, has secured around $1.4 million in funding to further develop frontline technologies.

The announcement was made by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.

M-Fly has developed a product that, according to the minister, was long missing from most drone manufacturers — a high-quality camera stabilizer (gimbal).

"M-FLY develops ITAR-free gimbals tailored to the modern drone industry. Our systems integrate electro-optical cameras, infrared imagers, and a variety of advanced sensor payloads. Designed for dynamic and high-performance environments, our solutions deliver unmatched accuracy, reliability, and adaptability. With a focus on research and development, the company seeks to push the boundaries of what is possible in the field of electro-optics, incorporating emerging technologies to create products that are efficient, accurate, and cost-effective," he copmany netioned at their website.

The system maintains a stable image even at high flight speeds or in challenging weather conditions.

These stabilizers are already being installed on Ukrainian reconnaissance drones, enabling clear imagery without quality loss, which commanders use to plan strikes and make tactical decisions.

Fedorov noted that M-Fly is continuing negotiations for a new, larger investment round.
