Ukrainian tennis player Angelina Kalinina won the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA 125) tournament – Open BLS de Limoges – in the French city of Limoges, with a prize fund of $115,000.
In the final, Kalinina (WTA No. 155) defeated the second-seeded French player Elsa Jacquemot (WTA No. 59) 6:3, 4:6, 7:5.
The match on court lasted 2 hours and 40 minutes.
This was Kalinina’s first final since May 2023, when she reached the WTA 1000 final in Rome, Italy.
Kalinina also won her second WTA 125 singles title, having previously become the champion in Limoges three years ago.
In the updated WTA rankings, Angelina is expected to rise nearly 30 positions this week.
