One of the enterprises of Ukraine’s state defense conglomerate, JSC Ukrainian Defense Industry (Ukroboronprom), has signed a memorandum of cooperation with KNDS Belgium SA, a recognized supplier to NATO.
According to Ukroboronprom, the agreement outlines plans to jointly assemble medium-caliber ammunition. These munitions are used in automatic cannons to target enemy personnel, lightly armored vehicles, and low-flying aerial threats.
“We are gradually expanding the geography of our international partnerships, seeking and finding new areas of cooperation. This benefits Ukraine’s Defense Forces and our defense-industrial complex, which aims to integrate into the global NATO arms industry,” said Ukroboronprom CEO Oleh Huliak.
KNDS Belgium is a globally known designer and manufacturer of a wide range of ammunition and supplies the Belgian army, NATO, and other international partners.
