Starting December 14, 2025, Ukrzaliznytsia will launch hourly train services between Kyiv and Lviv.
According to Ukrzaliznytsia, the new 2026 train schedule introduces a regular-interval timetable on the Kyiv — Lviv — Kyiv route.
This means trains will run at consistent hourly intervals, with most services operating year-round. During peak periods, additional trains will be added to the schedule.
“A regular-interval schedule is a model in which trains depart at fixed, repeating intervals. In Ukraine, this system has been successfully tested on Kyiv City Express,” the company noted.
Additionally, in 2026, Ukrzaliznytsia will introduce 11 new trains, including eight new international routes and three domestic ones.
