Russia continues to prepare for a possible conflict with the Baltic countries and Poland, using Belarusian territory.

This was stated by Vadym Skibitskyi, Deputy Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, during the RBC-Ukraine forum “Energy That Sustains Ukraine."

“We constantly monitor the entire situation related to Belarusian territory, including the military activity of not only the Belarusian armed forces but also the Russian armed forces. Currently, we do not observe activity from large formations, which is positive. The threat level remains low,” he said.

At the same time, Skibitskyi emphasized that Russia has not abandoned plans to use Belarusian territory for its military purposes.

He noted that this year’s 'Zapad' exercises demonstrated that “Russia is actively preparing for a potential conflict.”

“This involves conducting various operations not only against Ukraine but also against the Baltic countries, Northern Europe, and primarily Poland,” Skibitskyi added.
