The Minister of Health of Ukraine, Viktor Lyashko, signed the cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the Superhumans Center.
The main goal of joint activities within the framework of the agreement is cooperation in prosthetics, reconstructive surgery, psychological support and rehabilitation of military and civilian citizens who suffered as a result of Russia's military aggression. In the future, such cooperation will allow the use of innovative technologies, in particular artificial intelligence, which will significantly improve the quality of life of affected Ukrainians and let them be active in society.
"Currently, we are living in a time of great transformations in the health care system. Therefore, an innovative project like the Superhumans Center is important for every Ukrainian. After all, the war today touched everyone; someone was wounded physically, and someone - psychologically. That is why each of us must go through our own path of change and some rehabilitation to return to full life after this brutal war. The creation of such a center in Ukraine is a very honorable thing because our people are heroes, and we strive to do everything so that Ukrainians have access to the best that is available in the world," said Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko.
According to the Minister, the project will immediately combine three important aspects, including medical, psychological, and social.
The medical direction will include high-quality prosthetics, treatment, and rehabilitation at home. After all, now it will not be necessary to go to Europe or the USA to service the prosthesis and receive qualified assistance. We are talking about developing a whole industry in Ukraine (prosthetics and rehabilitation) and forming large teams of professionals because a training center for doctors will work in the clinic.
The second aspect is psychological when doctors will work with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in the clinic. And this applies both to the military and to those who became direct witnesses of battles, violence or other horrors of war. A person who survived the war far from the front line can also get PTSD.
The third is the social aspect because Superhumans is not only a clinic but also the formation of a new attitude towards people with disabilities and people with war injuries. This is a philosophy of equality and dignity. Because every Ukrainian is a "superman".
Superhumans Center General Director Olha Rudneva commented: "The support of the Ministry of Health means a lot to us because we aim to create a collaborative ecosystem with state institutions while providing a comprehensive program of support for war victims. Our task is to create a model of providing a complete service to people who have lost limbs and need rehabilitation or reconstructive surgery. We believe that together with the Ministry of Health, we will be able to make such a service as high-quality and accessible as possible and scale it within Ukraine's framework. A separate task for us is the training and advanced training of specialists based on Superhumans, who could implement the philosophy of recovery of victims during the war throughout Ukraine."
Therefore, the multi-functional healthcare institution - Superhumans Center will appear in Lviv region soon and will become an example of a partnership between the state and private charitable initiatives. The clinic will specialize in adult and pediatric prosthetics, reconstructive and facial surgery, and post-traumatic stress disorder treatment.
From now on, our defenders will have access to modern and innovative medicine, which already exists in the world's leading clinics and saves lives.
