Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with military officials, representatives of the Security Service of Ukraine, and government members regarding the protection of our infrastructure from Russian strikes.

The President of Ukraine reported this on Telegram.

He emphasized that despite all of Putin’s promises to the United States and to everyone in the world who desires peace, Russia continues to strike civilian energy facilities in Ukraine.

“This terror is becoming increasingly vile. There are no signs that anyone in Moscow is preparing to end the war or is seriously considering diplomacy,” Zelensky stated.

According to him, Russia plans further attacks on the energy sector, which may currently be less visible to the world due to the focus on the situation in the Middle East. Relevant data is available from partner intelligence.

“Specifically regarding the Russian threat to the infrastructure of our nuclear power generation in Ukraine, the data has been handed over by the Ukrainian Minister of Energy to the IAEA and to Mr. Witkoff. The Ukrainian Minister of Defense has passed information to his counterpart in the United States,” the head of state said.

In addition, the President received a report on the elimination of the consequences of the strike in the Poltava region and set tasks for the Minister of Defense, the Minister of Energy, and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Participants in the meeting also discussed the current development of Russia’s strike capabilities and accordingly defined tasks for the development of Ukrainian air defense.

“There were also reports from the head of the Security Service and the Chief of the General Staff. The details are confidential, but the results of today’s discussion should have a tangible impact on the situation,” Zelensky added.
