Russia launched more than 40 missiles of various types, most of them targeting Kyiv, as well as 120 attack drones during the night of July 19.

In a Telegram post, Zelensky said that Russia carried out one of the largest ballistic attacks on Kyiv during the night. As of now, one person has been confirmed killed in Kyiv and the surrounding region, while 16 others have been injured. All victims are receiving the necessary medical assistance.

Emergency crews are continuing to eliminate the consequences of the attack at three locations, with nearly 600 rescuers involved in the response. Relevant services are also working in the Odessa region.

According to Zelensky, over the past week Russia has used around 1,450 attack drones, more than 1,640 guided aerial bombs, and 99 missiles of various types against Ukraine.

People were also injured in the Odessa and Zaporizhzhia regions, while damage was recorded in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions. This week, Russian attacks also targeted the Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Cherkasy regions.

According to the President, protecting Ukraine from ballistic missiles remains the country’s main and constant priority.

“Interceptors are needed every day, and I am grateful to everyone who takes our agreements seriously and ensures the supply of anti-ballistic systems. These packages are literally saved lives during every Russian massive attack,” Zelensky said.

He also emphasized the importance of continuing pressure on Russia.

“Delays in making new decisions give Moscow the opportunity to plan not only new attacks against our people, but also ways to avoid new sanctions restrictions,” Zelensky concluded.
