Their performances were watched by hundreds of thousands of fans. The entire country celebrated their victories. Their names are inscribed in the modern history of Ukrainian sports with golden letters.

By the decision of the Expert Commission of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Ukraine to determine the best athletes and coaches of the month based on the results of performances by Ukrainian athletes in leading international competitions in Olympic sports in 2023:

"Best Female Athlete of 2023" is Yaroslava Mahuchikh – World Champion and III European Games Champion in athletics (high jump);

"Best Coach of 2023" – Tetiana Stepanova – personal coach of Yaroslava Mahuchikh;

"Best Young Athlete of 2023" is recognized Oleksandr Zheltyakov – two-time World and European Junior Swimming Champion, holder of the Olympic standard (in the 100 and 200m backstroke);

"Best Coach of a Young Athlete in 2023" is Oleksandr Kulik – personal coach of Oleksandr Zheltyakov.

Certainly, among the awards for our distinguished athletes are the recognitions of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine. In 2023, Yaroslava Mahuchikh was named the "Best Female Athlete of August 2023." Her coach was also honored for the achievements of her trainee.

Oleksandr Zheltyakov and his coach Oleksandr Kulik twice received awards from the NOC of Ukraine as the best young athlete of the month and the best coach of a young athlete of the month (in July and September).

Now their collections of awards will be complemented with new distinctions.

For the preparation of the best female athlete of 2023, Yaroslava Mahuchikh, awards will be received from the Ukrainian Athletics Federation and the Central Sports Club of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
