A group of Turkish officials and businesspeople will visit Ukraine in March to deepen cooperation on the reconstruction of Ukrainian infrastructure.
This was announced by the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Yulia Svyridenko, following a meeting with Turkey's Minister of Trade, Ömer Bolat.
"In March, we expect a large visit from a Turkish task force (a group of specialists) for the reconstruction of Ukraine, involving Turkish businesses. I am confident that this will help deepen the cooperation between the private sectors of our countries," Svyridenko stated.
She added that during the Ukrainian-Turkish roundtable, which gathered more than 50 representatives from Turkish businesses in the energy, construction, machine engineering, and agricultural sectors, the Ukrainian side presented tools for supporting investors and projects in key sectors.
According to Svyridenko, an important area of cooperation is the restoration of damaged infrastructure, in which Turkish companies have already been actively involved. The Deputy Prime Minister mentioned the successful work of Onur Group Ukraine and the investment of 400 million UAH by a Turkish energy company into energy equipment production in Ukraine.
