President Volodymyr Zelensky has officially received a draft peace plan from the United States, the Office of the President reported following talks between the Ukrainian and American sides.

According to the US, the plan could “activate diplomacy.” Zelensky, in turn, “outlined the fundamental principles” important for the Ukrainian people. Following the meeting, Kyiv and Washington agreed to work on the plan’s points “so that it leads to a dignified end to the war,” the Office said.

The statement added that Zelensky expects in the coming days to discuss with US counterpart Donald Trump the “available diplomatic opportunities and the key points needed for peace.”

“From the very first seconds of Russia’s invasion, Ukraine has sought peace, and we support all substantive proposals capable of bringing genuine peace closer. Since the beginning of this year, Ukraine has supported President Trump’s proposals aimed at ending the bloodshed. We are ready now, as before, to work constructively with the American side, as well as with our partners in Europe and around the world so that the outcome is peace,” the publication states.

No further details were provided by the Office.
