The German defense company Rheinmetall will deliver another 20 Marder 1A3 infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine next year.
This was announced on the company's website.
As stated, in December this year, Rheinmetall received an order to supply Ukraine with 20 more Marder 1A3 IFVs. The delivery is scheduled for the first half of 2025. The exact order amount has not been disclosed, but it is noted to be a "double-digit figure in millions of euros."
The delivery will be financed by Germany. In total, Rheinmetall has already sent hundreds of Marder infantry fighting vehicles to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The 1A3 version of the Marder is equipped with an additional laser rangefinder for effective and precise targeting. The first 20 vehicles of this type were delivered by Rheinmetall Group in March 2023 on order from the German government.
