According to him, the Russians are raising old military equipment from storage, trying to increase the amount of its armor and immediately sending it to the front line.

Ukrainian troops destroyed 2-3 times more military equipment of Russia than the occupiers manage to restore at the factories.

Military expert Roman Svitan said on the air of the Freedom project that the Russian Federation is now constantly running a negative balance in terms of the amount of equipment.

According to him, the Russians are raising old military equipment from storage, trying to increase the amount of its armor, and immediately sending it to the front line.

Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, Russia has lost a large amount of equipment. The lion's share was destroyed, but another part was captured as a trophy.

“After the imposition of sanctions by the Russian Federation, the speed of reproduction and production of new equipment decreased by a factor of two, although they increased the number of shifts to three per day. Now they are geared towards the recovery of old equipment that is in storage,” Svitan said.

He noted that in connection with this situation, Russia also began to remove heavy equipment from storage in Belarus.

“The Belarusians have already handed over almost all of their equipment to the Russians. It burns perfectly on the borders of our homeland. Therefore, in the next six months, the Russians will definitely face the complete absence of heavy equipment as such,” the expert emphasized.

According to Svitan, Russia will turn to its few allies to get new military equipment.

"In the coming months, we will hear such requests from the Russians due to the fact that our troops, artillery, and MLRS are destroying this equipment in the fields," he summed up.

In early October, the British Ministry of Defense reported that more than half of the Ukrainian tank fleet now consists of military vehicles seized from Russian military vehicles.
