On the night of September 3, Russia continued its attacks on Ukraine, launching ballistic missiles and drones. It has been reported that 27 strike UAVs were shot down.
This information was confirmed by the Air Force press service.
During the night, the Russian forces attacked from the occupied Crimea. The Russian forces launched an Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missile. From Russia's Kursk region, an air-launched guided missile, the X-59/69, was fired.
Additionally, the invaders directed 35 strike drones of the Shahed-131/136 type. These were launched from Cape Chauda in occupied Crimea, as well as from the Kursk region.
The Air Force stated that Ukrainian aviation, along with anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups, were involved in repelling the attack.
"As a result of the air defense battle, 27 Shahed-131/136 UAVs were shot down," reported the press service.
It was noted that six of the drones were lost from radar. There were no reports of destruction or casualties due to UAV debris.
"Two more drones flew in the direction of the Belgorod region and occupied Donetsk," added the Air Force.
It is known that during the night, air defense was active in Kyiv, Odessa, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Poltava, Chernihiv, and Sumy regions.
