During the attack on Ukraine on April 6th, Russian forces used over 30 kamikaze drones and six missiles of various types. Almost all drones were successfully intercepted by air defense systems.
This information was reported by the commander of the Air Force, Mykola Oleshchuk, on Telegram.
"As a result of the air defense battle by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, two cruise missiles X-101/X-555, a cruise missile 'Kalibr', and 28 Shahed-131/136 strike UAVs were shot down," he said.
According to the general, during the night of April 6th, Russian forces attacked with 32 Shahed-131/136 strike UAVs launched from the areas of Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Kursk (Russia), as well as with six missiles of various types: three guided anti-aircraft missiles S-300 from the Belgorod region, two cruise missiles X-101/X-555 from strategic aviation aircraft from the Saratov region, and one cruise missile Kalibr from the Black Sea waters.
In the evening of April 5th, Russians launched strike drones over the territory of Ukraine. Air raid sirens were sounded in several regions.
After midnight, explosions were heard in Kharkiv. Hits were recorded near residential buildings. The Russian forces also hit a store in the Dergachi community of the Kharkiv region. In the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv, six people were killed, and 10 others were injured.
