Russia has banned entry to dozens of British journalists and defense officials.

As Radio Liberty reports citing the Russian Foreign Ministry, in total, the Russian Federation banned the entry of 49 British journalists and representatives of the defense sector, saying that they spread false information about the war in Ukraine or were responsible for supplying weapons to the country.

In particular, 29 blacklisted journalists "are involved in the deliberate dissemination of false and one-sided information" about Russia and events in Ukraine and Donbas, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

"With their biased assessments, they also contribute to inciting Russophobia in British society," the report says.

The journalists represent major media outlets such as the BBC, Sky News, Financial Times, Daily Telegraph, Independent, and Guardian. The list includes news anchors, editors, and senior managers.

20 British military officials and figures Moscow says have ties to the defense industry have also been banned from entering Russia. It is noted that they are "involved in making decisions on the supply of weapons to Ukraine."

The people associated with defense include the UK Deputy Secretary of Defense, the Commander of the Royal Navy, three Members of Parliament and heads of defense contractors BAE Systems and Thales.

The UK government has now offered more than £750 million ($937 million) of military support to Ukraine, including air defense systems, thousands of anti-tank missiles, various types of ammunition, hundreds of armored vehicles and other equipment.
