Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Russian army has already killed 622 children in Ukraine.
The Office of the Prosecutor General reported this on Facebook.
"More than 2,546 children have been affected in Ukraine due to Russia’s full-scale armed aggression. As of the morning of April 25, 2025, according to official information from juvenile prosecutors, 622 children have died, and more than 1,924 have been injured to varying degrees of severity," the statement reads.
The highest number of affected children is in Donetsk Region - 640, Kharkiv Region - 490, Kherson Region - 208, Dnipropetrovsk Region - 235, Kyiv Region - 136, Zaporizhzhia Region - 177, Mykolaiv Region - 118, Sumy Region - 134.
On April 24, as a result of a strike on Kyiv, a 17-year-old boy was killed, and 10 other children were injured: five girls aged 14, 15, and 17, as well as five boys aged 3, 5, 10, 12, and 17.
On the same day, a 14-year-old girl was injured in the village of Bezlyudivka, Kharkiv District, as a result of shelling.
On April 23, a 12-year-old girl was killed in Kostiantynivka, Donetsk Region, due to shelling.
On the same day, a 16-year-old girl was injured in the shelling of Kramatorsk.
Also, two girls aged 1 and 3 were injured in Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk Region, as a result of a Russian drone attack.
On April 22, seven children were injured in Zaporizhzhia due to shelling: two girls aged 14 and 17, as well as five boys aged 3, 4, 13, and 16.
On the same day, a 6-year-old girl was injured in Kherson due to shelling, and a 17-year-old boy was injured in Kharkiv.
