On the night of February 15, Russia launched 70 drones at Ukraine. Air defense managed to shoot down less than half of them.
This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"On the night of February 15, the enemy attacked with 70 Shahed-type strike UAVs and various types of decoy drones from the directions of Oryol, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), and Chauda (Crimea)," the statement reads.
The aerial attack was countered by electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
"As of 09:00, the confirmed number of downed Shahed strike drones and other UAVs stands at 33," the military reported.
Another 37 decoy drones were lost due to location disruption. Air defense operated in the Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Donetsk regions.
