Russia struck Ukraine with ballistic missiles and launched over 180 drones

On the night of May 3, 2025 (starting from 8:30 p.m. on May 2), the Russian forces launched an attack using two Iskander-M ballistic missiles from Russia’s Rostov region and occupied Crimea, along with 183 strike UAVs and decoy drones of various types from the regions of Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol, and Millerovo in Russia.

The aerial assault was repelled by Ukrainian Defense Forces using aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare systems, and mobile fire groups.

As of 9:00 a.m., 77 strike UAVs, including Shaheds and other drone types, were confirmed shot down over eastern, northern, southern, and central Ukraine.

73 decoy drones were lost from radar tracking without causing damage.

The attack resulted in damage in the regions of Kharkiv, Sumy, Donetsk, and Mykolaiv.
