Zaporizhzhia region
Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces carried out 495 strikes on 15 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region, wounding four people in attacks on the Polohy and Zaporizhzhia districts. The head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, reported this on Telegram.
“The occupiers launched one missile strike on Zaporizhzhia. Russian forces also carried out 11 airstrikes on Orikhiv, Huliaipole, Uspenivka, Bilohiria, and Malynivka. Three MLRS attacks hit Shcherbaky and Mala Tokmachka,” Fedorov stated.
According to him, 363 UAVs of various types — mostly FPV drones — targeted Zaporizhzhia, Chervonodniprovka, Komyshuvakha, Plavni, Orikhiv, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanilivka, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, and Novopavlivka. In addition, Russian forces launched 117 artillery strikes on Plavni, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanilivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Novoandriivka, and Malynivka.
Authorities have received 30 reports of damage to houses, apartments, farm buildings, vehicles, and infrastructure facilities.
Vinnytsia region
In the Vinnytsia region, during the night of August 28, the Russian army attacked energy infrastructure facilities, leaving 29 settlements without power. This was reported by Natalia Zabolotna, the First Deputy Head of the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration.
“Last night, the enemy targeted critical infrastructure in the Vinnytsia region. As a result of strikes on energy facilities, 60,000 consumers in 29 settlements were left without electricity,” Zabolotna wrote.
According to her, all relevant services are working on-site, and emergency restoration efforts are underway. No casualties have been reported so far.
Dnipropetrovsk region
The Russian army struck the Nikopol and Synelnykove districts of Dnipropetrovsk region, causing damage, according to Serhiy Lysak, Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.
According to him, since the evening, the Russians attacked Nikopol and the Myrivska communities of the Nikopol district, using drones and Grad MLRS. Specialists are inspecting the areas to assess the consequences. Damage was recorded at two agricultural enterprises, and a private yard suffered damage to a summer kitchen, a building, and four vehicles.
“Fortunately, there were no casualties,” Lysak noted.
Kherson region
In Kherson region, over the past 24 hours, four people were killed and five were injured as a result of Russian aggression, as reported by Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of the Kherson Regional State Administration.
According to him, the following settlements were under enemy drone and artillery attacks: Antonivka, Beryslav, Bilozerka, Vesele, Veletenske, Dariivka, Dniprovske, Doslidne, Zolota Balka, Kizomys, Komyshany, Mylove, Mykolaivka, Mykilske, Molodizhne, Naddniprianske, Novovorontsovka, Novokairy, Odradokamianka, Oleksandrivka, Olhivka, Osokorivka, Poniativka, Prydniprovske, Respublikants, Rozlyv, Romashkove, Sadove, Sofiivka, Stanislav, Tokarivka, Tomyna Balka, Tomaryne, Tiahynka, Chervonyi Maiak, Shyroka Balka, and Kherson.
11 private houses, a gas distribution station, a cellular tower, and private vehicles were damaged.
Four people were killed and five others injured due to the Russian attacks.
Dontesk region
On August 27, the Russian army killed two residents of Donetsk region, as reported by Vadym Filashkin, Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, according to Ukrinform.
According to him, two people were killed in Kostiantynivka. Five more people were injured over the day.
Filashkin emphasized that the total number of Russian casualties in Donetsk (3,438 dead and 7,903 injured) does not include figures from Mariupol and Volnovakha.
Also on the night of August 28, the Russian army struck Sloviansk in Donetsk region with Iskander missiles, according to Vadym Liakh, Head of the Sloviansk City Military Administration.
He stated, "During the night, the enemy struck our city. Around 03:00, two powerful explosions were heard — Iskanders."
The hits were recorded on Shevchenka Street at the summer terrace of the Ukraine Hotel restaurant and in Andriivskyi Lane.
35 apartment buildings, two private houses, six cars, one educational institution, and eight infrastructure facilities were damaged or destroyed. Four people were injured, Liakh emphasized.
Sumy region
From the morning of August 27 to the morning of August 28, Russian forces carried out 80 strikes on 34 settlements in Sumy region. This was reported on Facebook by the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
The Russians carried out nearly 20 strikes with GAB bombs, more than 10 attacks with MLRS, 10 VOG drops from drones, and attacks using FPV drones and other types of unmanned aerial vehicles.
In Okhtyrka community, during the drone attack on the night of August 27, nine private houses, two apartment buildings, and two cars were damaged, in addition to non-residential buildings.
During the day, 12 more people were evacuated from the border communities of Sumy region.
