Russian forces struck Odessa region with a ballistic missile at noon

The spokesperson for the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ilya Yevlash, stated that around noon on Friday, Russian forces used a ballistic missile on the Odessa region. He announced this on the national telethon United News.

"This happened around noon. The enemy used a ballistic missile. The type is being determined, and the consequences will be known later," said Yevlash.

According to him, the Russian forces have repeatedly used missiles from the occupied territory of Crimea. There are also significantly more attacks during the day, both with ballistic missiles and guided aviation missiles like the Kh-59.

"Of course, 250-kilogram aerial bombs are also actively used on frontline territories, so the danger remains," the spokesperson added.

He noted that Russian invaders launch ballistic missiles not only during the day but also at night.

"Probably, it depends on the goals set by the enemy. Sometimes they see the appropriateness of using this weapon during the day, so it's hard to say why it happens one way or another. Of course, they launch at night. Mostly we see attacks by Tu-95, Tu-22. They mainly use combined attacks, as it is much more difficult to shoot down such missiles at night when there are quite a few of them, and we see ballistic missiles depending on the tasks and goals of the enemy," Yevlash informed.
