Russian forces attacked energy infrastructure in the Lviv region, as reported by Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi on Facebook.

"During the morning attack, enemy cruise missiles were recorded in the region. As of now, they no longer pose a threat. The enemy targeted the energy infrastructure of our region and Ukraine," Sadovyi stated.

He added that there are currently no emergency power outages in Lviv.

Emergency power outages have begun in Ukraine. Currently, they are in effect in several regions, but the list may grow.

"The enemy continues to terrorize Ukrainians. In response to the massive attack, the transmission system operator is implementing preventive restriction measures," said Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko.

As a result, emergency power outages have been introduced in several regions.

On January 15, Russia launched yet another massive attack on Ukraine. Around 1:00 a.m., Russian forces deployed drones, followed by missile strikes in the morning. Notably, several Russian missile carriers have been positioned in the Black and Mediterranean Seas.

In response, Poland has deployed combat aircraft. This was reported by the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces on social media platform X.

"Attention: In connection with the attack by the Russian Federation, which is striking targets, including those in western Ukraine, military aviation has been activated in our airspace," the statement reads.

It was clarified that, in accordance with current procedures, the Operational Command has engaged all available forces and resources at its disposal, deploying pairs of fighter jets. Additionally, ground-based air defense systems and radar reconnaissance units have been placed on the highest alert. The command specified that these measures are aimed at ensuring safety in areas bordering regions under threat.

"The Operational Command is monitoring the current situation, and the subordinate forces and resources are fully prepared for immediate response," the military added.
