Russian forces dropped two aerial bombs on Sloviansk on Friday morning, July 24, killing five people and injuring nine others, according to Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration Vadym Filashkin.
“Five people were killed and nine injured — these are the preliminary consequences of the strike,” Filashkin wrote on Telegram.
He added that the attack damaged 10 private houses, an enterprise, and the premises of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Latvia.
“Russians attack our cities every day, and for the second day in a row their strikes have caused numerous casualties in Sloviansk. It is dangerous to remain here! I urge everyone who is still near the front line: evacuate. Evacuation is free of charge. We will help with transportation, accommodation, and the necessary support,” Filashkin emphasized.
Head of the Sloviansk City Military Administration Vadym Liakh reported that one of the victims had been identified.
“One of them has been identified. It is a resident of Bylbasivka, born in 1950. The identities of four more people are currently being established,” Liakh wrote on Facebook.
He added that the strike also damaged eight vehicles, three of which were completely destroyed.
