Russian forces attacked Ukraine using 355 drones

During the night of May 26 (starting from 20:15 on May 25), the Russian forces carried out a combined strike on Ukraine using 364 air attack assets:

  • 9 air-launched Kh-101 cruise missiles from Tu-95MS strategic aviation aircraft (launch area – Saratov region);
  • 355 strike UAVs of the Shahed type and various types of decoy drones from the directions of: Bryansk, Millerovo, Kursk, Oryol, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – Russian Federation, Chauda – occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

According to preliminary data as of 11:00 a.m., air defense shot down all 9 Kh-101 cruise missiles and neutralized 288 Shahed-type UAVs and other types of drones in the east, north, south, west, and center of the country.

233 were shot down by kinetic means, 55 were lost to radar or suppressed by electronic warfare.

Russian air attack assets were recorded hitting 5 locations, as well as the fall of downed strike UAVs in 10 locations.
