Russian mobilized in Belarus were given weapons of the Second World War
A significant part of small arms, namely AK-74 assault rifles, is inoperative due to improper storage conditions.
The Russian units, which are being trained near the city of Baranovichi, Brest region in Belarus, were issued weapons and property of the Second World War model, as well as protective equipment from the period of the 60-70s of the last century.
It is also noted that the moral and psychological state of mobilized Russian citizens undergoing training in the Kursk and Bryansk regions is significantly deteriorating due to the difference between Russian propaganda and the actual situation, inhuman conditions of stay, and the lack of promised payments.
“Russian units being trained near the Baranovichi, Brest region, were issued outdated weapons and equipment – metal helmets of the Second World War model and protective equipment from the 60-70s of the last century. In addition, a significant part of small arms, namely AK-74 assault rifles, is out of order due to inadequate storage conditions,” the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said in a statement.
