Russian forces struck the central district of Kharkiv, and there is a threat of continued shelling.
This was reported by the Telegram channel of Kharkiv's mayor, Ihor Terekhov.
According to Terekhov, the Russian forces hit a densely populated residential area, causing a fire. Information about the extent of the damage and casualties is currently being clarified.
"Please be cautious—shelling may continue," added the mayor.
Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, stated that emergency services have already arrived at the scene.
As a result of the rocket strike on central Kharkiv, a clinic building has been damaged.
