Russians shot Ukrainian prisoners of war near the village of Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia region. Law enforcement agencies have launched an investigation into the violation of laws and customs of war.

This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.

On February 20, a video was circulated online showing the shooting by Russian army servicemen of three Ukrainian defenders who were taken prisoner.

It is noted that the incident occurred on February 18, 2024, near the settlement of Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia region.

An investigation has been launched. The killing of prisoners of war is a serious violation of the Geneva Conventions and qualifies as a grave international crime.

A criminal investigation has been initiated into the violation of laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder.

Pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine in Zaporizhzhia region.
