Ukrainian Defence Forces have struck the Omsk Oil Refinery in Russia for the second time since July, targeting a facility located approximately 2,500 kilometres from Ukraine, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The General Staff said the Omsk refinery is Russia's largest oil processing facility, with an annual capacity exceeding 21 million tonnes of crude oil. The plant produces a wide range of fuels, lubricants and petrochemical products.

The General Staff recalled that the refinery had previously been struck on July 6, 2026, when Ukrainian forces targeted the ELOU-AVT-11 primary oil processing unit, which has a designed capacity of 8.4 million tonnes of crude oil per year.

"On October 8, 2026, units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces struck the Omsk Oil Refinery in Russia, located 2,500 kilometres from Ukraine," the General Staff reported.

The facility is also involved in supplying Russian forces.
