From January to November 2025, demining specialists cleared 34,300 hectares of agricultural land of explosive hazards. In total, over 43,000 hectares have been surveyed since the beginning of the year.
This was reported during a meeting of the National Mine Action Authority, chaired by First Deputy Minister of Defense Lieutenant General Ivan Havryliuk.
Lieutenant General Ivan Havryliuk emphasized that the meeting resulted in a number of important decisions that will have a significant impact on the further improvement and development of mine action activities in Ukraine.

In particular, government mine action operators will now be prioritized for non-technical survey tasks on agricultural land. Currently, 41 demining units of the security and defense forces are certified operators for non-technical surveys.
Additionally, non-profit mine action operators will be engaged if necessary.
The implementation of these decisions will ensure effective coordination among all mine action stakeholders, which is critically important for guaranteeing high-quality demining work and enhancing public safety.
