Russian forces continue their assaults in southern Ukraine, with the number of attacks slightly reduced compared to previous days, but their intensity remains high, according to Vladyslav Voloshyn, spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine.
"There have been no significant changes, but the number of assaults on the Vremivka front has slightly decreased compared to previous days, although they were no less fierce. The enemy is attempting to carry out storming actions with small infantry groups, supported by military equipment, tanks, aviation, and drones," Voloshyn said during a national television broadcast on Friday.
He also reported that over the past 24 hours, two Russian T-64 tanks were destroyed in the Vremivka direction, noting that these tanks are rare in Russian inventories.
"This suggests that Russia is gathering tanks wherever it can find them," Voloshyn remarked. He added that while shelling continues in the Dnieper region, no additional troop concentrations have been detected.
Voloshyn further noted that nearly 150 Russian soldiers, along with several pieces of equipment and tanks, were destroyed in the southern section of the front over the past day.
