The Ministry for Strategic Industries of Ukraine and representatives of the Spanish company Escribano Mechanical and Engineering (EM&E) have discussed the localization of military equipment production in Ukraine.
This was reported by the Ministry.
According to Herman Smetanin, Ukraine’s Minister for Strategic Industries, this cooperation will significantly improve Ukrainian military equipment and provide a powerful boost to the country’s combat units.
"I was glad to hear about EM&E's interest in doing business in Ukraine and their understanding of the potential in cooperating with a Ukrainian defense enterprise. Thank you for the substantive work and concrete steps toward partnership. I am confident both sides will benefit greatly from working together," Smetanin said.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities and terms for localizing the maintenance and production of Remote-Controlled Turret Modules (RCTMs) at Ukrainian enterprises.
