The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) and the National Police have detained five more collaborators of the Russian forces who, on their orders, carried out arson attacks and acts of sabotage in various regions of Ukraine.
According to the case materials, the suspects were recruited by the Russian forces through Telegram channels advertising "easy money."
In Zaporizhzhia, a 36-year-old local resident was detained for setting fire to three SUVs belonging to the Defense Forces, which were undergoing maintenance after missions on the southern front. He was later tasked with destroying a minivan used by the military to transport combat equipment to the front line.
In the Kyiv region, SSU cyber specialists apprehended a Kyiv resident red-handed as he was preparing to derail a freight train by placing a derailment stopper on the tracks.
In Ternopil region, two residents of the village of Husiatyn were detained for setting fire to a serviceman’s crossover SUV.
In Kharkiv, another suspect was detained—a woman previously convicted of minor bodily harm. She had set fire to a signaling relay cabinet belonging to Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways) on orders from the Russian forces.
During searches, investigators seized evidence of collaboration with the Russian forces from all suspects.
All suspects are being held in custody without the possibility of bail. They face life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
