Counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine detained two more agents of the Russian military intelligence (GRU) in the Dnipropetrovsk region. They were coordinating Russian missile and drone strikes against the Ukrainian Defense Forces and regional enterprises.

According to case materials, the agents were dispersed across different parts of the region, tasked with collecting and transmitting relevant photos and coordinates.

In Dnipro, a 48-year-old confectionery plant employee was arrested. She had been recruited by the Russians through an acquaintance held in Russian captivity. Subsequently, she agreed to provide the aggressor country’s intelligence with information about the aftermath of Russian airstrikes on the regional center.

Using the agent, the Russian forces attempted to adjust repeated strikes on key enterprises of Ukraine’s heavy industry. Simultaneously, she carried out another Russian assignment: spreading Russian-edited videos from her TikTok account calling on Ukrainians to surrender.

In Kryvyi Rih, a 45-year-old former police officer was detained for directing attacks on backup command posts and shelters of Ukraine’s Security and Defense Forces within the city. Investigators documented him spying near police and National Guard locations involved in frontline operations and repelling Russian air raids on the frontline community.

SSU officers detained the agent and secured the bases of Ukrainian defenders. The investigation revealed that he came under the Russian attention after posting anti-Ukrainian comments in Telegram channels.

The suspects are in custody without the right to bail. They face life imprisonment with property confiscation.

Comprehensive operations were conducted by SSU officers in the Dnipropetrovsk and Ivano-Frankivsk regions under the procedural guidance of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional and Kryvyi Rih Specialized Prosecutor’s Offices in the defense sector of the Eastern region.
