U.S. Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources, Richard Verma, discussed the need to continue humanitarian support for Ukraine with Slovak Vice Prime Minister Peter Kmeť in Bratislava.

This was reported on Monday by the U.S. State Department.

"The parties discussed the necessity of continuing humanitarian aid and the importance of inclusive efforts to support Ukrainian refugees in Slovakia," noted the American agency.

In addition, Verma thanked the Slovak side on behalf of the U.S. for its support of Ukraine and Slovakia's efforts as a NATO ally in strengthening collective defense and condemning Russian aggression against Ukraine.

Deputy Secretary Verma also met with representatives of Slovak organizations working to support Ukraine. They "discussed Slovakia's role in the reconstruction process and how this could be mutually beneficial for both Slovak and Ukrainian people."
