The Odessa Defense Research Institute was bought by a company from the Carpathian region belonging to the ex-Governor of the Odessa Region Ihor Palitsya.
The auction for the sale of an integral property complex of the state enterprise "Odessa Research Institute of Television Technology" ended with the victory of the Bukovel company, associated with the politician and entrepreneur Ihor Palytsia, former governor of the Odessa region and former director of Ukrnafta.
According to the head of the regional branch of the State Property Fund of Ukraine Oleksandr Slavsky, during the auction the price increased three times.
Two dozen buildings and structures (including a nine-story building) and a land plot of 2.7 hectares on Mechnikova Street went to the winner for UAH 90 million (approx. EUR 2.8 million).
Five participants took part in the auction. The initial price of the object was a little more than UAH 35 million.
The winning LLC "Bukovel" is registered in the city of Yaremche, Ivano-Frankivsk region. The main activity of the company is the provision for rent or operation of own or leased real estate.
The beneficiaries of the LLC are an offshore company from Cyprus, Tinareto Holdings LTD, which owns a 99.9998% stake in the authorized capital, as well as Oksana Palytsia (0.0002% stake). Also in the open register among the beneficiaries is Zakhar Palytsia.
Oksana Palytsia is the wife of Ihor Palytsia, and Zakhar is their son.
Ihor Palytsia himself, a business partner of the oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, is currently a people's deputy, a member of the deputy group of the party "For Future". He headed the Odessa Regional State Administration from 2014 to 2015.
