In the Kherson region, Russian forces are trying to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River, as well as increase their presence in the island zone.
This was reported at a briefing by Colonel Oleksandr Zavtonov, spokesperson for the 30th Marine Corps.
“The enemy is trying to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River, as well as increase their presence in the island zone. In particular, last week the occupiers attempted to storm our positions 31 times. All attacks were repelled by Ukrainian defenders,” the spokesperson said.
He noted that during this period Russian forces suffered 88 killed and wounded. Losses in weapons and military equipment amounted to 132 units.
According to Zavtonov, from August 4 to 10, 2025, Russian forces carried out 502 shellings of Ukrainian defenders’ positions and civilian infrastructure in the Kherson region. In addition, the invaders conducted 9 airstrikes.
Russian troops continue to actively use UAVs of various types and modifications. Over the week, 2,708 UAV (FPV) deployments were recorded, of which 1,337 were within the Kherson territorial community.
With the help of electronic warfare systems, 2,095 UAVs (FPV) have been destroyed or suppressed, including 1,027 within the Kherson territorial community.
