Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson welcomed U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision to allow the delivery of more advanced weapons to Ukraine, stressing that Sweden will help ensure this support is both swift and substantial.
He shared the message on his official account on X.
“I welcome President Trump’s important decision to make it possible to deliver more advanced weapons to Ukraine and to significantly increase the economic pressure on Russia,” Kristersson wrote.
He emphasized that Sweden, as a NATO member and one of Ukraine’s largest donors, “will continue to contribute to swift and substantial deliveries to Ukraine.”
Kristersson also highlighted the urgency of the situation, noting,
“Time is of essence. The sooner we all unite in forcing Russia to end its brutal war against Ukraine, the more lives will be saved.”
