The air defense forces of Ukraine destroyed 11 out of 13 kamikaze drones and two Kh-59 missiles overnight on February 27.
This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram.
"On the night of February 27, 2024, the enemy attacked with ballistic missiles Iskander-M/KN-23 from the Voronezh region, four guided aviation missiles Kh-59, one anti-radiation missile Kh-31P from the TOT Kherson Donetsk region, and 13 combat drones of the Shahed type - launch areas Primorsk-Akhtarsk, Kursk region (RF)," the statement said.
It was noted that fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force, mobile fire groups, and electronic warfare means of the defense forces of Ukraine were involved in repelling the aerial attack.
"As a result of the combat operations of the air defense, two guided aviation missiles Kh-59 and 11 Shahed drones were destroyed within the Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Khmelnytsky, and Kirovohrad regions," the statement emphasized.
