On October 3, during a parliamentary session, opposition factions "Armenia" and "Honor of May" boycotted the discussion of the Rome Statute and left the chamber; however, the decision was still adopted.

Armenia signed the Rome Statute in 1999 but had not ratified it until this year. On September 1, the government submitted a draft for approval to the parliament.

On Tuesday, the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court was ratified.

Therefore, Armenia commits to implementing the decision for an arrest warrant for Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.

In March, the Pre-Trial Chamber of the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin and Children's Ombudsman Maria Lvova-Belova. The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned that Armenia's ratification of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court would have negative consequences for Russian-Armenian relations.
