The Russian army lost over 1,500 militants killed and wounded as a result of the raid by volunteers. Additionally, Russian volunteers managed to destroy and damage 171 units of military equipment.
This was reported at the press conference of Russian volunteer formations regarding the operation in the Belgorod and Kursk regions.
As reported by the LSR representative Oleksiy Baranovsky, within a few days, Russian volunteers were able to liberate two settlements from the Putin regime and destroy a large number of occupants and military equipment.
Thus, the losses of Russia due to the raid are as follows:
• 651 irretrievable losses;
• 980 medical (wounded);
• 37 taken prisoner;
• 121 units of equipment destroyed;
• 50 units of equipment rendered inoperable.
However, as noted by the LSR representative, Russia launched 323 strikes with cruise missiles. All of them hit the territory of the Belgorod and Kursk regions.
"Thanks to our operation, the Armed Forces of Ukraine were able to stabilize the front and cover the areas where the RF attack was expected," said Baranovsky.
On March 12, there was a breakthrough of the Russian border by fighters of the "Freedom of Russia" legion, the "Russian Volunteer Corps" (RVC), and the Siberian Battalion, who are fighting on the side of Ukraine. These volunteer battalions, in particular, entered the Kursk and Belgorod regions, where battles have been ongoing for over a week, accompanied by strikes on military targets of the Russian forces.
