Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide Visited Kharkiv
He shared this on X.
Eide mentioned that he arrived in Kharkiv with his Ukrainian counterpart Andrii Sybiha.
"The city, close to the frontline of the war, is under constant attack by Russia. Yesterday, another brutal attack targeted civilian infrastructure & wounded many. I am deeply impressed with the resilience of the people of Kharkiv," wrote the Norwegian minister.
Norway, along with other European countries, will continue to put pressure on Russia and advocate for maintaining sanctions, said Espen Barth Eide.
According to him, Russia must take real steps and show that it genuinely wants peace in order for the sanctions to be lifted.
"All sanctions must remain in full force. Because we see that the sanctions are working. Of course, Russia's economy has shifted to military footing, but at the same time, they do not have access to European markets. Norway, like all European countries, believes that pressure on Russia must continue," said the Norwegian foreign minister."
