The head of the German arms conglomerate Rheinmetall, Armin Papperger, has called for a significant increase in military spending to make Germany capable of defense.
According to RND, Papperger stated, "The Western world is not prepared for conventional warfare."
Papperger believes that China and Russia are aggressively arming themselves. He noted that Germany's defense budget should be increased by at least 30 billion euros per year from the current 52 billion euros.
"If these 30 billion are not invested in Germany, the turnaround will fail," emphasized the head of Rheinmetall.
