The Icelandic parliament recognized the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as genocide of the Ukrainian people.

This was announced by the head of the Office of the President, Andriy Yermak.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Iceland for the adopted resolution.

Grateful to Iceland for recognising the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as genocide of the Ukrainian people, for honoring the memory of millions of Ukrainians killed by the Moscow regime. It is a clear signal that such crimes do not go unpunished and do not have a statute of limitations.

The historical front is a battle for justice. The Russians will not be able to erase the evidence of their own crimes. The nation is a terrorist.
