The international environmental organization Greenpeace has opened an office in Kyiv.

The team says they will focus on green reconstruction in Ukraine and investigating nuclear dangers around the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. Natalia Gozak, an environmentalist, has been appointed as the director of the Kyiv office.

Gozak says that the team's mission is to help rebuild social infrastructure using solar panels, wind turbines, and heat pumps.

'For its own safety, Ukraine must become a leader in transitioning from fossil fuels to green technologies,' adds the environmentalist.

Greenpeace is an international non-governmental environmental organization founded in 1971 in Vancouver, Canada. The organization is dedicated to environmental restoration and raising awareness among people and authorities about the preservation of nature.
